The Create Your Own collection is the heart of what I do at Lae Jewellery. It is where you get to be the designer. You pick the chain, the beads, the gemstones, and the charms, and I make it by hand, exactly to your specification.

How the Builder Works
It is simpler than you might think. You start by choosing your piece type: bracelet, necklace, earrings, anklet, or ring. Then you select your size, your chain or base material, and up to eight gemstones or silver beads. You can mix materials, colours, and textures however you like.
There are no wrong answers. Some of my customers go for a clean, monochrome look with all-silver beads. Others mix five different gemstones and add a charm. Both approaches look beautiful.
Combination Ideas to Get You Started
The Classic
All sterling silver beads in a single size. Clean, timeless, and goes with everything. This is my go-to recommendation for anyone who wants a bracelet they will never take off.
The Birthstone Stack
Choose gemstones that represent the birth months of people you love. A mother with three children might pick rose quartz (January), aquamarine (March), and amethyst (February). It is subtle, personal, and meaningful.
The Colour Story
Pick two or three gemstones in the same colour family. Morganite and rose quartz together create a soft pink palette. Lapis lazuli and sodalite give you deep, rich blues. Carnelian and sunstone bring warmth.
The Mixed Metal
Combine sterling silver beads with gold filled accents for a modern, layered look. This works particularly well for necklaces and bracelets worn as part of a stack.

Materials and Sizing
All pieces are handcrafted in solid 925 sterling silver or 14ct gold filled, which contains 50 to 100 times more gold than standard plating. Gemstones are genuine semi-precious, not glass or plastic. Every piece is made to order in my studio in Four Crosses, Powys, where I have been designing and making jewellery by hand since 2020. I include a silver polishing cloth with every order.
For bracelets, measure your wrist and add about 1cm for a comfortable fit. If you are unsure, get in touch and I will help you find the right size.

How does the Create Your Own builder work?
Choose your piece type, size, and up to eight gemstones or beads. The builder shows you the options and price as you go. Once you submit, I handcraft it to your exact specification.
Can I change my design after ordering?
If you contact me quickly after placing your order, yes. Once I have started making the piece, changes become harder. Get in touch as soon as possible if you want to adjust anything.
What gemstones do you offer?
I work with a wide range of semi-precious gemstones including rose quartz, aquamarine, morganite, amethyst, carnelian, lapis lazuli, turquoise, and many more. The full list is visible in the builder when you start designing.
How long does a custom piece take to make?
Most orders are made and posted within 1 to 3 working days. If I am particularly busy, it may take up to 5 working days. I will always let you know if there is a delay.
